After The Storm Season 3 Mission 16I did think that it wouldn't take long for the show to revert back to it's rescue of the week formula after revisiting the Jeff Tracy story so soon.
I suppose from one angle it's to build the anticipation of where that aspect of this Season will go next, but at the same time, given that this Season has had so much of an absence on TV, it does beg to question when this will get resolved. I'm thinking that it will more than likely be next year when it comes back for it's last batch of 8 episodes. I would prefer this to be not the case, but if the Studio wants to leave while it's still on a high note, then I suppose that's not necessarily a bad thing. Although, I would argue that you should never abandon a good thing. The show is making money for ITV in terms of the DVD sales and the likely profit from the new Toy deal with Bandai, which I will probably more than likely buy a few models for collective purposes ;) This week's episode felt like rehash of Season 1's Cross Cut in which we see someone trying to steal yellow cake uranium for the Hood from an abandoned Nuclear Facility. 2 Seasons later and it's the same setup. Only this time, it's Fuse of the Chaos Crew and not Marian Van Arcle. Marian does re-appear as a Lieutenant for the GDF as a Nuclear expert. I did enjoy the nod to Stingray with a clip of Titan talking to Toiful, Titanica's God. Some have argued with this many nods to Stingray throughout this show's run, are ITV hinting at a revival? As much as I would like to happen, I think this is just acknowledging Anderson's legacy.
