.It's the 1st Thursday of June and that can only mean one thing - It's Jurassic June once more.
This fine entry OniPunisher of the Dimetrodon which has yet to feature in any movie of Jurassic Park and it's kind of a shame, because this is such a fascinating creature that would have been a great addition to the roster of Jurassic Park. I really like the attention to detail in recreating what would have been the habitat for this Paleozoic creature. While this animal is not a dinosaur, as it became extinct 40 million years before the likes of Coelophysis ever walked the earth which is one of the first dinosaurs ever to appear on the planet, it is still an amazing member of the prehistoric age. It's been a while since I've posted anything of ole blue boy, so I figured it was time to post a new one and this week's is from ShadowTheHedgehog192
It's always cool to see images of Sonic where he's just laid back and taking a chill pill and this is decent. It's the best of both traditional & digital art. Hard to think it's been 11 years since the original. All of the MCU movies that have come and gone, that is the one that stands head and shoulders over every other MCU movie. Going with a little anime flavor this week from Nibroc-Rock with the artist's fine render of DBZ's Goku.
The Final entry for #AprilApril comes from Onosaka-Yuha and it's of April O'Neil from the 2003 Incarnation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles which was a lot closer to the original comics than the predeceasing animated series. I like how the artist has been able to capture the likeness with regards to April's dress sense and the tone of red in her hair.
April wasn't a TV reporter in this version, but they did have one episode where she did don a yellow jumpsuit paying homage to the 80s version. I like how the artist has been able to have a nice callback to the 80s with the yellow jacket whilst still having a nice modern fan-art of the character.
What I like with this incarnation of April is how she's more resourceful than her 80s counterpart and not so much as the damsel in distress. The artist put a lot of time and effort into this and I tip my hat to them. This piece by pfs-kun of April O'Neil from 1986's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is the 80's Heroine with a slight cutesy anime twist The colouring and shading is just awesome and I like that the artist placed a Turtle-com on her belt which is a nice attention to detail.
Even though this incarnation of April was a damzel in distress a lot of the time, there was something quite charming about her and the voice actress, Renae Jacobs was a treat to listen to.
