Reel Features Season 12: Ticket 06
Time to fire up the flux-capacitor as we take a trip back in time to what is considered the greatest time-travel movie ever.
Has it really been 34 years since this was released in Theaters?
I sadly was far too young to appreciate it when it was first unveiled to the world, but when I was at an age where I could properly appreciate the story and all that it stands for, I saw what everyone else saw when it was first seen on Wednesday July 3, 1985. You get some movies that are timeless (no pun intended) whose appeal simply gets stronger as the years go by and Back to the Future is no exception. And I think multiple generations can relate to what the characters go through in wanting to be taken seriously for wanting to follow their dreams even when they're told they have no hope. Although to this day, I find it amusing and ironic that Huey Lewis who cameos as a Teacher tells Marty "I'm afraid you're just too darn loud." When this man was a very popular frontman at the time for his band, Huey Lewis & The News. And of course, the DeLorean. Had the advent of this movie never happened, you'd have had 1 or 2 people recanting about what they thought of the car. But because of the uniqueness and quirkiness of the vehicle it became immortalised in pop-culture history just for being the time-machine used in Back to the Future. Like with Jurassic Park in August, 2018, last year, working on this project was a labour of love paying tribute to one of my favourite movies from my childhood and young adult life that I have the utmost joy whenever I watch it because it feels as fresh now as when it was first viewed in 1985. And you don't get many movies like that these days. You get the occasional flick now where it's well-made and handled as a good movie should. But many don't have the lasting appeal of this masterpiece from Robert Zemeckis & Bob Gale. And I thank them immensely along with the amazing Michael J.Fox and the irreplaceable Christopher Lloyd. And once more, we have come, Back to the Future. Bttf 4k wallpaper http://www.4usky.com Back to the Future is available from Amazon
