So, we're back to where we started?  Knowing that we are going to have to wait 5-6 months before the remainder of Season 3 can be finished feels slightly inconvenient since we only just got back to this Season.

Furthermore, it has been revealed that Lee Majors has expressed interest in voicing Jeff again if the Studio decides to do a 4th Season.

Now, when a man who is voicing a character that has been a pivotal part of the show, even though he has been absent for the first 2 Seasons, speaks volumes.

That, and ITV Studios only just got the new Toy deal with Bandai, which will feel like a wasted effort since they just acquired this new deal only to have it short-lived if the speculation comes to pass that Season 3 will be the last.

Now, on one hand you can make the argument that I am saying that out of bias because of my love of the show.  You would be right in that regard.  But, the flip-side is that this show is popular not only with the adults and the kids who grew up with the original re-runs in the 1990s, but this Generation of Children absolutely adore this show and now they have heroes that they can look up to.

The likes of Scott & Virgil Tracy were heroes to children in the 60s, 90's and 2000's because of how they were written.  
So, it's very rewarding to know that these characters are looked up to by this Generation.

There are some things that were built to last.  Thunderbirds is one of them.  I don't think Gerry Anderson had any idea of the longevity of this Franchise when he originally aired the first series in 1965.

​Let's just hope that this isn't the show's last hurrah.

It was very hard after all this time to suddenly get the part 2 trailer for season 3 and how it would then start connecting all the dots up for what had been building up since the first episode from season 1 on Easter weekend in 2015. 

Because we are now at a point where the biggest question could be answered that has been asked since ring of fire part 1 and part 2 and that is simply this.... What is the status of Jeff Tracy? 

As I stated in the video the trailer gives away surprisingly a lot of details for a mere 60 second trailer, 1 with the addition of Bremen being introduced to this generation of Thunderbirds. Bremen was a mechanical robots from the original series for all intents and purposes as an experimental assistant that brains was always making upgrades and doing his own research on.  I suppose in some weird where you could make the argument that he was the prototype to Max.  Mechanical assistant xperimental. 

One of my subscribers had made the point of saying that Thunderbird 4's launch sequence from Tracy Island seemed very reminiscent of how stingray went through her launch sequence in the 1964 Super Marionation series.  As we can clearly see Thunderbird for going down a launch tunnel. 

Brains goes on to say that Bremen had been transmitting a repetitive SOS signal that was being relayed from someone else and brings then says "could he still be alive?" which to me that was all the earmarks of making reference to Jeff Tracy. 

The patriarch of the Tracy brothers and the head of international rescue has had his absence heavily felt since the series was introduced 4 years ago for the first few episodes they would make comments what would Dad do, how they would miss him, and in some recent episodes of season 3 they would comment some of the drills that he would make them do including making reference to his flamenco shirt. 

The other aspect that this season will likely answer is if the possibility becomes a reality that Jeff is still alive then how will he fit back into the fold in international rescue? 

My theory is simply this: I think Jeff will observe from the sidelines because there is no clear indication of what kind of condition is in so will therefore just be an observant what he studies at Scott's performance and probably evaluating his eldest son's quality of leadership and will more than likely get a good idea of how he has handled sayings during his absence. 

I do not believe for one second that this will be the final season of Thunderbirds Are Go.  I do recognise that for some situations The Chase is more exciting then the actual end. But to have a situation where they reunite with their father only to see the series end would be both exciting and disappointing at the same time. I say this, because there are multiple scenarios and potential stories that could be told for future Seasons of how Jeff could retake control of his organisation or maybe even see Jeff go out on missions with them. 

That, and I'm sure the audience would like to get acquainted with this Generations version of Jeff as much as the characters on the show. 

That is what I would like to happen. But more often than not... It will likely go the way of what we don't want to happen.

I thought I would try and convey my thoughts in text as well as having the video to show people my thoughts and feelings of the sad passing of this great and very talented actor and voice actor that meant so many different things to so many different people. 
To some, Shane was the actor that was in a little bit of everything he could be seen as an uncredited battle technician in Star Wars, showing up in uncredited roles in various scenes throughout the James Bond movie series or even showing up in Batman Begins as a water tower technician based on the fact that Christopher Nolan was a huge fan of the original Thunderbirds series. 

But to many others - he was one of the leading protagonists as the role of Scott Tracy. The first team response leader for international rescue and the pilot of the mighty Thunderbird 1. 

I think one of the main reasons why Shane's portrayal of the Elders of the Tracy brothers has endured for so many years is because his performance was so likable and so endearing with the command and authority he exuded just through his voice. 

In fact I think Scott was the only character that managed to appear in every single episode of the original Thunderbirds. I could be wrong and this would not be the first time. 

Whether you saw the original Thunderbirds as a member of the original audience in the 60s or if you were part of the rerun generation in the early 90s and early 2000s at some point or another you were introduced to Scott Tracy. What got me about his performance when I saw the first rerun of Thunderbirds in the early nineties is that this is a character that took control of a situation no matter how dangerous or what the stakes were and started rectifying situations within a danger zone and did so with clear concise and strategic mentality which just cemented why this character was to be taken so seriously. 

As far as Thunderbirds fans are concerned Shane leaves behind an amazing Legacy that is not likely to be forgotten. Because as mentioned Thunderbirds was a generational show where grandparents, parents and their children have all enjoyed this amazing show throughout the last 54 years with the Legacy being continued with the 2015 revival show Thunderbirds Are Go. 

I'm not 100% sure of what his opinion was of the 2015 series because in the run up to the premiere episode on Easter weekend in 2015 there was a whole string of interviews with the original cast and their memories and their thoughts of the original series and I recall Shane saying it was like toys come to life. 

It would have been called if he could have made a guest appearance on the new show in the same context like Matt Zimmerman had done in the Time tunnels episode.  But it is what it is. 

So I shall close out by saying thank you for everything that you gave to entertain the audience with, Shane.  You are a hero to many generations of children and to many adults as well.

This Trailer has fed us plenty of information already despite being only 25 seconds long.

The tone is clearly going to be darker and I think that's appropriate because that tends to happen with escalation in a story that's progressing to the next stage.  2008's The Dark Knight is a prime example of how Batman goes from beginner crime fighter to dealing with a much more formidable foe in Heath Ledger's The Joker.

Now I'm not saying that the villains will ask question of where they got their scars or how they're dogs chasing cars, but you get the premise that things are going to get worse before they better.

With such Easter eggs as Jeff Tracy's ship with TV21 being a nod to TV 21st Century which was owned by Gerry Anderson and to the iconic 60's International Rescue hat that was worn throughout the series by all the Tracy Brothers.

Now whether this was something Jeff wore for his own preference or just throwing a bone to the fans is unclear at this point but all the same it was cool to see this.

As to whom the Antagonist is with the backpack weaponry for lack of a better description is also unclear.

My suspicion is that this will be a re-imagined version of  Mullien from the disaster that was the 2004 Thunderbirds flick.

But I have been proven wrong before so why should this be an exception?

Before the Storm Season 2 : Mission 03 

There's a lot to take in as this is the second review I have come across that is outright praising the show in the States.

This was one of the areas where the original was not as successful as it would have liked to have been.  And the less I say about the sacrilege that FoxKids did to the show in the mid 90's, the better.

Below is the review from Deadline Hollywood.  It's brief and to the point which is what you want with most reviews these days.

What I get into this week is something very pleasing with the knowledge that American viewers are really digging this show so much, so quickly.

The review here is the best piece of news that the Producers and fans here in the UK were hoping for in that Mily Dunbar was really bowled over and that their kid was really into it straight away just mirrors what took place just a little over a year ago when that iconic countdown with Peter Dyneley's voice echoing at the start of the show that sent chills down our spines as the legendary Tracy family returned for a new Generation of fans that saw that Thunderbirds Are Go, once again.

Before The Storm Season 2: Mission 01

This is just phenomenal news.  Having already confirmed that the show was extended to a second season before the 1st episode even aired back in late 2014 was a very good sign, but to then hear that this happened was just even more of a confidence booster that this Generation of Thunderbirds was going to stick around a lot longer.

This will bring the total up to 78 episodes by the time Season 3 ends which will effectively make this show have had more screen time than the original series.  But, by extension, this was already achieved with it being renewed for a second season, but the point still stands.

Safe to say we will be seeing the adventures of International Rescue for some time to come.

Seeing this Pod vehicle shows the forward and creative thinking for this series in making a vehicle that is able to venture forth into a harsh and unpredictable environment out in the frozen wilderness.  

I got the impression that it was going to be the Mole used but in surprising me with the Explorer was pleasant and again just shows the creative thinking in design and story in making a Pod that is able to be that versatile.

Should be noted that this scene makes Virgil very noble by having John double-check the area when not seeing the rescuees at first.

This is first time since Sun Probe that Thunderbird 2 or any Thunderbird for that matter has journeyed into an Arctic surrounding and seeing Thunderbird 2 on the snow was just such an appealing contrast visually with the bright green on the virgin snow.

Come Saturday, this should be good.

The very first scene from the series and we're right in the middle of a distress call.  Through this first rescue completely set the tone of this Generation of Thunderbirds in that it would be as suspenseful as the original if not more with the pacing of modern day action shows in that it leaves you with little time to catch your breath.

My first impression upon seeing this on Easter Saturday was that of amazement and elation.  We had been given glimpses of what to expect from a new age of International Rescue but I had no idea it was going to be taken to the next level with a score and visuals of that equal to a Hollywood Movie.  (take note Tinsel-Town; this is how you do Thunderbirds, properly)

And the fact that Thunderbird 2, which is considered the most favoured of all the Thunderbirds is the one that appears first welcoming the audience of fans established and new is just a sight to behold.

When you first hear TB2's jets through the clouds and then seeing the Grand reveal as it emerges as a beacon of hope was enough to bring a tear to this fan's eye.  Fore I had wondered how ITV & Pukeko Pictures would visualise the show for a new age, and they got it.  They absolutely nailed what Thunderbirds is supposed to be within the first 45 seconds.

And then came the new Intro with an update of the classic theme from 1965 with visuals being respectfully faithful to it's original opening and from that point on.....I knew I was in for a ride and that I was watching a winner.

If you ever questioned as to how Thunderbirds Are Go would be before seeing this; this opening scene answered that question.

Gerry would have been proud.
