Reel Features Season 9 Ticket 10
Looking at what took place at the Box-Office. What was memorable and what we didn't care for.

I was quite surprised how better the presentation has with this old review by adjusting the contrast and highlight settings.
The only thing I can't change is how pudgier I look 3 years ago, lol.
But that's hindsight for ya. If I only I knew better then, lol?

This is pretty much the Season of the old-school with previous reviews from Special Features being ported over.
But it's all good. They're good reviews in my opinion. Granted, I think I have improved since then, but that's whole point of progression over time.

This is one my reviews from Special Features that seems to have been forgotten. It's one of my more basic reviews. But that said I have improved my style since 2011.
Judge for yourself.

4 years on since this movie came out I still have fond appreciation for it with the Franchise being brought to Europe, the UK specifically.
This is another review ported from Special Features, and I think it's still a good review.

I wasn't really sure what to expect with this in mid June, 2013. Given that since Superman III, the original Superhero has had a very hit & miss affair with the Box office. While 2006's Superman Returns is a guilty-pleasure for trying to breathe new life into an existing movie storyline it just felt short of what it was trying to achieve. That said I did like Brandon Routh. Good as Clark Kent but the Superman part of his role was lacking, which I did hope there would be a sequel as I think he could have improved. And the likeness he bared to Christopher Reeve was uncanny.
Given that this was the movie to kick-off DC's Cinematic Universe it had to be done right and I will give credit where it's due they actually put a fresh spin on the story even though it was pretty-much mirroring Supe's origin from the 1978 movie.
Well, you'll find out what I thought in the video.

Now I know what you're thinking - "why are your old-school reviews showing up on Reel Features?". A very good question.
They're good reviews despite the fact that my style of reviewing is a tiny bit more sophisticated with what I do today. But the point still stands in the quality of these reviews from Special Features and it seems a shame to let them go to waste. So that's why I've ported these over to Reel Features.
Now that that's out of the way - this is from 2011 when the Lion King celebrated it's 17th Anniversary with it's conversion to 3D and again, I thought this was still a decent review and it deserved to be ported over.
Reflection is a good thing. Because sometimes you have to take a step back to realise how far you've progressed.

I have to question what made me think that this was a good idea to watch this 6 years ago as now I see for what it is - that being yet another vain attempt by Hollywood to cash in on another nostalgic property that just served to produce a Box Office failure.
Now, that's not to say that no nostalgic property should be adapted into a movie ever. No. far from it. I just think it was asinine to think it was prudent to adapt this old-school cartoon into a live action picture.
