Knight Watch Season 2 Issue 21 - SEASON FINALE
Directed by Robert Foster
Written by Robert Foster Original airdate May 6, 1983 Wow! What a trip this has been revisiting the 1st Season of the Original Series. I can truly say that I appreciate this season much more with a fresh adult perspective in seeing the message that the episodes were teaching. But, at the same time, I do notice the goofs much more clearly where you see ramps, hands on KITTs steering wheel when there's not supposed to be any there when he's driving himself. I feel like the show is like an old-friend I hadn't seen in years and going back to watch this season for the first time in years felt like I had not only been away, but it felt great to watch these memorable episodes once more and really taken them in. Knight Rider is something that I hold near and dear. It was something that I had been looking for years to find some kind of calling and when I got this season on DVD in 2005 I just binge-watched the entire season entering a world of heart, humor and action. Good fun, and the right lessons being taught. It's what got me into cars and more specifically, the 1982 Third Generation Pontiac Firebird Trans Am as the Knight Industries Two Thousand. I can identify with the character of Michael Knight as a man looking to help people and to be the difference maker. One Man CAN make a Difference. The theme of Knight Rider. I take that very seriously. "You can make difference in someone else's life and you can make a difference in your own life. And that's what Knight Rider is about" - David Hasselhoff on Knight Rider
In closing: I am glad to have returned to the Franchise when I did to be in time for the 35th Anniversary. I may have reviewed SG first, but as I explained last Season, the 10th Anniversary of Knight Rider SG would have clashed with the 35th Anniversary of Season 2 of the original series.
Knight Rider is a huge part of my life and I am ever so grateful for being introduced to it. For, I have not only found my calling in entertainment and life, but also forged friendships from all corners of the earth who share the same love and enthusiasm for one man and his AI talking car. So, thank you, for allowing me to bring Knight Watch back, and here's to Season 3 this Fall when I cover the 35th Anniversary of Season 2 of the original series. Good night, from the Knight.
