I have tried to be patient in the last few episodes of Sonic Boom, but it just feels like this series is not trying anymore. That and apparently some changes have been made to YT's system that I really don't want to be on the receiving end of. so, I'm pulling After The Boom from this page effective immediately and giving that page to Before the Storm.

Some 24 years ago on September 26, 1991; BBC began re-showing the original Thunderbirds series after realising there was a nostalgia market for those that missed the iconic puppet series. And in doing so; it introduced the classic Adventures of the Tracy family to a brand new generation. At the age of 10 years young at the time I was bowled over with the amazing special effects for a show that starred marionettes that made it look like these were big budget movies. It was ahead of it's time in the 60's and it held up well into the 90's. Now, fast forward to today in 2015 and I am as amazed and excited for this new series just as I was for the original. Here's the trailer that got released today. Here's what I have to comment on so far; the Thunderbirds themselves blend in brilliantly to their surrounding environments. WETA-Digital have done a masterful job of making the visual effects make the craft very photo-real.
The Tracy Brothers themselves are extremely well rendered and animated. Kinda reminds me of the attention to detail that Gerry Anderson's New Captain Scarlet had a decade ago. Now whether the characters are motion-captured or just very well animated, that aspect is very impressive so far. I'm not overtly keen on FAB1 having the ability to fly once more. (I honestly thought we were going to bid farewell to that absurd concept from "that movie". If that was John Tracy's voice when the line uttered "International Rescue; we have a situation" then so far the vocal talent based upon that little piece is promising. I couldn't help but notice when the countdown was spoken it sounded VERY similar to Peter Dyneley's portrayal of Jeff Tracy. Either it was his recording or just a very good sound-a-like. From what I have seen so far a lot of love seems to have been put into this. I enjoyed the feeling of a more tense, suspenseful danger factor. That said, this is 2015 and shows have gotten somewhat darker since the original Thunderbirds and I like the suspense here. I cannot wait for April 15, 2015. THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO, AGAIN! by this time tomorrow we will have seen the feature length trailer for the upcoming Thunderbirds Are Go Series.
Knowing what we have to look forward to in regards to the visual aspects of the series it will be spectacular. But, what I'm now and eagerly keen to see is how the characters will interact with their crafts and their surroundings as one of the first few hybrid model sets/CGI shows. The only things we will know in regards to the sound of the voice actors will be David Graham reprising his role as Parker 50 years since he first played the man, and of James Bond fame, Rosamund Pyke as the new Lady Penelope, the successor to Sylvia Anderson. I have actually spoken to Razmus Hardiker through twitter and he has said that:"as a life long Thunderbirds fan, getting the opportunity to play both Alan & Scott Tracy has been my highest honour to date." That's the thing that also gets me; with the exception of Sandra Dickinson playing Grandma Tracy & David Melkin as Virgil Tracy, the vocal talent are English Voice actors. But considering how well English actors can put on American accents, this should be interesting to hear. A couple of examples that do this well is Hugh Laurie in House, Christian Bale in the Dark Knight Trilogy and Henry Cavill as Superman/Ka-El/Clark Kent in Man of Steel. We have been teased since last Christmas of what to expect from the 1st shot of the new Thunderbird 5, to exploring the new Tracy Island and to seeing very brief clips of each Thunderbird. But tomorrow....the teasing ends. Thunderbirds Are not Go just yet, but tomorrow.....it's one step closer. Until next time, Good night, From the Knight. This short film did in 13 minutes what Fox's 90 minute DBE movie couldn't do - a good DragonBall adaptation
DAYUM!!!!!! I want this to be a thing!!!!
I have to say since opening this blog page, that I have become more accustomed to updating regularly to inputting and updating this page with my video reviews with adding videos from other pages that are relevant to the topics I cover and as such feel like I am really connecting with my audience more. Especially having the more hands on approach has been really good for me as I am able to customise the page to my settings/taste as opposed to settling with the status-quo of "here's your limited settings & themes. make do with it" I think this simple image below tells you what I thought of that idea: what can I say? I'm really getting into a high-gear again with the various shows I cover from WWE's SmackDown (which I still maintain is the BEST that they have to offer), Sonic Boom, Gotham (when it returns to UK TV), continuing to cover Movie reviews & news and to my ever faithful subscribers and Twitter followers who send me their questions just curious as to what I think about. I can safely say with honesty that I am as passionate and hungry for what I do as an entertainer/editor/writer/Podcaster as I was when I began this journey in the summer of 2007. The only real difference is I am much savvier and smarter to how I was when I began with Knight Watch, Movie Knight and & Games. Of which, 1 has gone through 3 name changes, 1 is shelved until further notice & Knight Watch is pretty much only reactivated when something majorly important happens in the KR Community. With another childhood fave of mine looking to make a comeback in Thunderbirds Are Go set for airing on 4.15.2015 you can be sure I will be all over that in giving my 2 cents on the new adventures of International Rescue. One thing I have learnt to do over time is to quietly accept when something is done and when to move on. That happened with Knight Rider SG when it was cancelled in 2009. (A decision that still baffles me some 6 years later. what were they thinking????) But, hey? I got over it, moved on and kept the creative flow of entertainment going and just stuck to the remaining articles that kept me interested. Movies, Games & Wrestling. I feel a lot better health-wise since upping my green tea intake to 5 servings a day. One little thing I do is add effervescent vitamin pills to bottles of mineral water. It really gives you the much needed wake-up-call in the morning. As a result; I feel great, I'm not so tired, I feel like I have the energy to hypothetically take on the world. I no longer feel bitter nor jaded. I love life, I love my work as a podcaster/entertainer. And I love doing this for my fans. Whether it be my subscribers on YT, people that liked my FB page or to my many followers on Twitter. Of which I seem quite chill in the WWE & Thunderbirds, respectively. My fans are the best and I will continue to do this for you. One thing that I took to heart in an interview Chloe Moretz was in was when she said Find something you love and work hard at it I was already doing something I loved but just cranked up the gear.
Not that she'll ever read this, but thank you for that sound piece of advice, Chloe. That helped a lot. An amazing actress with equally amazing fans. Never seen such dedication to 1 actress. But she's amazing. That's all the explanation you need for that. So, yeah. That'll probably do it for this rare blog-post. I don't do them often, but when I do, I make it mean something. Hope y'all are doing great and I'll see ya soon. MJ Knight. Meet Kayo. Head of Security at Tracy Island
